They are here. Not enough people tried to stop them. Not enough people put up a fight. Not until it was too late. The Oppressors, a loose coalition of groups dedicated to an ideology of fear and control. Militias, gangs, corporations, and more have all come together to take over. Many live in fear, many try and keep their heads down to survive.

But there is a glimmer of hope. The Resistance. You play as the Resistance in this model agnostic solo and co-op asymmetrical tabletop skirmish game of being punk in turbulent times. Create a team of fighter to take into battle against one of several groups of Oppressors.

The Game

The player, or players, will create a team of Resistance fighters, using base fighters and fighters given roles. Then they will build a team to oppose them. A 3 foot by 3 foot (36"x36") board will be set up and then a scenario is chosen and the forces deploy. Alternating activations dictate who goes when, and an "AI" (okay, a flowchart) is used to determine the behaviour of the Oppressors. Games go until objectives are satisfied.

The game uses standard six-sided die, and low rolls are good. Checks are usually done by comparing a roll to a statistic of a model, and rolling that stat or lower is a success. Occasionally, checks are done against another model.

The Punk

This game is about being punk. As such, it contains overt references to fascism. I made it originally out of a sense of catharsis, taking back control and fighting in my own way. I encourage you to make this game your own. Hack it, slash it, burn it. Make your own Resistance roles. Create your own rules, factions, scenarios. Make it be truly punk and make it your own.

Note:

This game is currently in an alpha state. Rule have been written but are subject to change as testing occurs, and not all factions and scenarios have been written yet. Currently only the Militia faction has rules and there is one scenario, however there are at least 5 more scenarios and factions planned.

Second Note:

I sometimes refer to AI in this game. There is no generative AI whatsoever going on. The AI is effectively a flowchart that dictates enemy behaviour in the game. This is a game about being punk and standing up to corporations and fascism. Using AI, a tool of the enemy, is not and never will be punk.


This is also a game by one single solo person. I did all the writing, mechanics, diagrams, maps, play testing, etc. Please be kind to me.
